CPF’s Excellence in Children’s Health Award
CPF’s inaugural Excellence in Children’s Health award was given to the Tennessee Governor’s Children’s Cabinet and Tennessee’s First Lady Crissy Haslam in 2017 for their efforts to streamline Tennessee’s pediatric resources.
In choosing a nominee for the 2018 award, CPF leadership unanimously agreed to honor Rascal Flatts: Gary LeVox, Joe Don Rooney, and Jay Demarcus based on their work with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital, Make A Wish Foundation, and Tim Tebow Foundation “Night to Shine”.
Throughout their career, Rascal Flatts has highlighted the attitude of “being blessed enough to pay it forward”. This attitude coupled with the “Night to Shine” message makes a difference in childrens lives by empowering patients to “shine” and enjoy life, regardless of their medical conditions.
